On the 4th of September 2019 we lost our friend Darren Phillips in tragic circumstances. Since that day Trefelin BGC have worked tirelessly to promote Mental Health Awareness in the community. Due to the strong bond between Trefelin and Darren’s family, we are proud to announce we will be dedicating the whole of the 2022/23 season as a fundraising year to raise money and awareness of various Mental Health projects in the local sporting and wider community.
Our first event will take place Saturday 16th July, with a Darren Phillips memorial walk from The Ynys Park to Cymmer prior to the first teams pre- season friendly against Penlan AFC who are major supporters of our initiatives and were close friends of Darren’s.
The walk will start at 8.30 am and is approx a 14 mile round trip.
More details regarding the walk and how you can get involved will be released as we approach the date.
